Sheep Mineral 16-8 (Click here to open a window and print.)
For all classes of sheep.

Feeding Directions
Sheep Mineral 16-8 is designed to supplement sheep rations with macro and micro minerals. It may be fed either free choice or mixed with other feed. When feeding Sheep Mineral 16-8 free choice, a covered mineral feeder is recommended to protect the mineral from the weather.

Consumption will vary with the type of ration being fed and the individual appetites of animals. With most feeding conditions, consumption should be approximately 0.25 to 0.5 ounces per head per day. If consumption is excessive, offer additional salt free choice in a separate feeder. If less than desired, remove supplemental salt. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.

Ewe Conditioner 38 (Click here to open a window and print.)
For breeding sheep.

Feeding Directions
Ewe Conditioner 38 is designed to be fed to ewes and rams kept for breeding. Depending on forage quality and stage of production, Ewe Conditioner 38 can be mixed with grain or fed as the sole supplement to forage. Adequate forage should be available at all times.

Flush ewes 2-3 weeks prior to the breeding season. This is done by feeding 0.25 pounds of Ewe Conditioner 38 per head daily. Feed 0.25 to 0.5 pounds of grain per head daily depending on the condition of the animals and/or the quality of pasture available.

During the first 15 weeks of the gestation period, feed 0.20 to 0.33 pounds of Ewe Conditioner 38 per head daily. Offer good quality forage free choice. If hay or pasture is of only fair to poor quality, and ewes are not being maintained in good condition, feed 0.25 to 0.5 pounds of grain per head daily.

During the last 6 weeks of gestation, feed 0.25 to 0.5 pounds of Ewe Conditioner 38 and 1.0 to 2.0 pounds of grain per head daily. Continue feeding until lambs are weaned or until ewes are on good pasture.

Ewes and lambs should have access to fresh, clean water at all times. The need for supplemental free choice mineral feeding will depend upon the kind and amount of forage being consumed.

The following are suggested feeding levels which may be varied according to the quality of forage and body condition score of the animals.

Stage of Production Lb/Hd/Day
Flushing/Breeding 0.5-1.0
First 15 wks Gestation 0.33-0.5
Last 6 wks Gestation 0.5-1.0
Lactation 1.5-2.5

Free choice salt and fresh, clean water should be available at all times. The need for supplemental free choice mineral feeding will depend upon the kind and amount of forage being consumed.

Lamb Finisher Complete (Click here to open a window and print.)
For finishing sheep.

Feeding Directions
Lamb Finisher Complete is a complete feed combining roughage, grain, and supplement. It is intended for feedlot lambs from approximately 80 pounds to market.

Lambs should be gradually adjusted to Lamb Finisher Complete in order to reduce the risk of overeating and other digestive disturbances. Lamb Finisher Complete can be self-fed to lambs if they are properly adjusted to the ration.

In an effort to minimize management problems, lambs may be offered approximately 10% good quality long hay. If hay is fed, all lambs should have equal access so that the total ration composition (proportion of Lamb Finisher Complete to hay) is consistent every day. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.

Feeding Directions
Feeder Lamb Head Start is especially designed to be fed to feeder lambs during the critical receiving period. It contains roughage, grain, and supplement to make a complete ration.

Feed hay on the first day. Lambs can then be adapted to a full feed of Feeder Lamb Head Start with minimal hay over the next 1 to 2 days depending on the level of stress imposed on the lambs during shipping.

Feeder Lamb Head Start should be fed at a rate of 1.0 to 4.66 pounds per head per day. After the starting period, lambs should be gradually adjusted to the appropriate growing or finishing ration for the balance of the feeding period. Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
